Introduction

Abstract

Connected Web is an open source web syndication format to share data for aggregation. Any web source can use it to publish contents and help third party platforms to aggregate and distribute their data in the most efficient way. A content can be any kind of static data produced by a source, such as full articles, videos, pictures, galleries, weather forecasts data and more.

Mission

The mission of Connected Web is to provide an open source and always up-to-date format to share information for real time aggregation, in order to help to maintain internet decentralised and to make easier for publishers and creators to maintain control of their contents.

Use cases

Connected Web is built for aggregation of contents between websites, but it can be also used in IOT to help producers to deliver data generated by IOT devices without a proprietary user interface. It provides also an unique format to define official APIs of platforms which mainly share articles and media contents, such as social networks.
